Autonomous GNC Systems for Unmanned Vehicles

ALMASpace's GNC System is an integrated solution designed for use in ground, air, and marine autonomous vehicles. It includes a sensors and servos board and a PC board
The sensor board includes a set of three-axis accelerometer and gyro sensors, magnetometers, static and dynamic pressure sensors, and a GPS sensor.
Also, it allows users control up to twelve separate servos while a PCM interface enables acquisition of R/C receiver commands thereby offering users both autonomous and manual capability.

The PC, is a single board computer based on PC-104 architecture. The PC board uses AMD Geode LX800 processor, up to 500 MHz and runs an embedded Linux based hard real-time operating system.
It takes digital sensor outputs from the sensor board through the standard RS232 communication and provides the corresponding attitude and heading angles and position of the vehicle by using an extended Kalman filter algorithms.
